Accessibility
Insytful scans your entire website, looking for and identifying accessibility issues based on the latest WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards. Once the scan is completed, your website is scored out of 100 to determine its compliance.
Failed and passed audits
Most A, AA, and AAA scores are pass/fail. If a guideline is not met, your website does not comply with that particular level of accessibility and will fail checks.
The accessibility report lists all failed and passed audits, accessibility best practices, and any manual testing that should also be undertaken.
Best practice
Best practices are more nuanced, covering checks that may not always be automated. Some may flag issues that you deliberately choose to implement differently, depending on the context. Best practices also include assessments of security, performance, and user experience, scored without a strict pass/fail structure. These are the checks you can work on after fixing any failed A and AA accessibility audits, for example.
Manual testing
No automated tool can fully guarantee compliance with WCAG, so an editor should carry out a number of additional tests to check compliance with specific areas that can’t be fully automated.
Insytful guides users to which elements require manual testing and give advice on how to fix them. It also provides links to further reading of each point raised, if needed.
