Insytful monthly roundup: May 2025
This month we released analytics in beta and broken image and duplicate content detection.
May saw the release of two new features that will improve user experience: broken image detection and duplicate page detection. We also released our analytics report in beta, a significant milestone that we're excited to share with a select few customers.
So here's what we got up to in May:
New feature: Detecting broken images
Good news site owners, you can now detect broken images on your website using Insytful.
When managing websites, a few things are worse than browsing your site and finding an essential page with a blank main header image. Luckily, you can now avoid this nightmare. When looking at individual pages, Insytful highlights if any images could not be loaded and the reason. For example, an image did not load because there is:
- A missing resource.
- A cross-site scripting error.
- A server implementation error.
This feature automatically flags pages with broken images to Insytful users. So you can make fixes without manually reviewing your site or, worse, waiting for people to report it.
Where can you find missing images?
The individual page view has already been released in Insytful. In the next couple of days, you will find a card in your Content Quality Overview page reporting the number of pages with missing images.
New feature: Detecting duplicate pages
Give your site an SEO boost, by removing duplicated content with Insytful.
Imagine this: a user comes to your site to contact you urgently by phone, only to find 40 pages from various departments called “contact us”. Because each page has the same page title and description, it is impossible to determine which page belongs to which department. How frustrating.
It's a real-life user experience (UX) nightmare.
It's bad for UX and SEO
In addition to a suboptimal user experience, search engines don’t like it when you have multiple pages with the same page title.
With this new feature, detecting duplicate content won't be like finding a needle in a haystack. Insytful will report your pages with the same title or description so users can edit and review them as needed. Like missing images, this won’t impact your SEO score yet.
Exceptions to the rule
There might be a good reason for having the same page in multiple URLs, such as a full-page or an AMP version. You might also be building navigation using pages and making good use of canonical links, making it less of an issue. We'd love to hear about any exceptions to the usual rule.
Beta release: Analytics
We've reached a huge milestone by releasing the first beta analytics feature within Insytful. Upon enabling it, sites hosted by Contensis can see overall page hits and filter by country for individual pages within Insytul for the past week, month, or year. This is shown in the analytics page report below.
As this is the first beta release for analytics in Insytful, if any Contensis clients are interested in being early adopters of this feature, please get in touch. We'll enable the feature for you and use your feedback to further polish future iterations of analytics.

Honorable mentions
On top of the new feature releases, we also did some bug fixes and feature enhancements. This month we tackled:
- Bug fix: A bug was fixed where certain mailto: links for reporting as invalid incorrectly.
- Bug fix: A bug was fixed where, in certain conditions, cookie sizes reached browser limits and prevented login.
- Enhancement: Broken links on the broken links page now open in a new tab automatically.
- Enhancement: We have SSO support on our marketing insytful.com side now as well.
