Introduction to Insytful

Welcome to Insytful, the site improvement tool you and your team will love using.

Insytful provides an extra pair of eyes on your web content. The automated scans detect and report any issues found on your website to help improve overall user experience.

An Insytful scan reports on 4 key metrics:

Measurable results

Using Insytful, your website is scored out of 100 against each key metric. The scores have traffic light colours associated with them, so you can identify which is a good or bad score.

  • Green is good and is what every website should aim for.
  • Orange is OK but could be better.
  • Red certainly has plenty of room for improvement!

Websites should aim for a score of 100, or as close to that as possible. Your website’s score is considered an indicator of its general usability, with higher scores considered very inclusive, usable for everyone, and compliant with all assistive technology.

Scores for each metric are determined by several factors. For example, for accessibility, your website is scored against how well your markup adheres to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) international standard and whether your site has passed WCAG A, AA, or AAA criteria.

Prioritising fixes

Individual pages are scored across Insytful so you can determine which pages require your attention first. You can filter pages by score, the number of issues and when they were last scanned. As a rule, the pages with the lowest scores are your priority.

All Insytful scan results are categorised into the following categories:

  • Failed audits
  • Passed audits
  • Manual testing (where applicable)
  • Best practices (where applicable)

Intuitive user interface (UI)

The UI of Insytful has been designed to be clear and easy for any user to navigate. The main sections of Insytful are clearly labelled so you can find the information you want quickly and easily through a simple menu system, with very little training required to get started.
