TL;DR [too long; didn't read] 🤯

New to Insytful in February:

  • List pages have had a glow up with handy new filters and key information surfaced in cards.
  • Insytful AI Search understands time, so users can ask about specific events or periods of time and get correct responses in return.
  • We've given a sneak peak of what is coming in March. Keep an eye out for policies and email reports.

February 2026: faster filtering and smarter search

In the February update 💘

February's updates were all about helping you get to the right insight quicker. The goal was to make it easier to identify what to fix, with less scrolling and less noise. Here's what has changed:

New list pages: new cards and filters that guide you 📋

We took a fresh look at our list pages and how teams actually use them day-to-day. The outcome was more guidance on the page, and filters that help you narrow down what matters.

What can be expected on the new list pages

You'll notice the changes are live on the the broken links report, where you can filter by:

  • Link type: internal
  • Link type: external web
  • Link type: tel:
  • Link type: mailto:
  • Status codes (for example, 404, 301, 500)
The updated view for broken links supports new filters such as link types, and status codes with more filters coming in the future.

Try it for yourself

In 30 seconds, you'll instantly see the issues most likely to affect real users (and avoid spending time on the wrong links).

We'll be rolling these updated list views out across more areas over the next few weeks. When you spot one, give it a quick test and tell us what you’d like to see next.

AI Search is now time aware ⏳

Our AI Search just got smarter: it can now understand when content was created (when relevant metadata is available) and use that information to surface better answers.

  • Latest-first ranking approach: Helps users find current information quickly without needing to refine a query.
  • Timeframe boosting: Queries like "in 2023" or "last summer" return results from the right period.

For example, search "events in Summer 2024" and Insytful will prioritise content published between 21 June and 22 September 2024.

Overall, it makes natural language search more intuitive, because “when” matters as much as “what”.

Honourable mentions

Each month, we work on quality-of-life fixes that are subtle but have a big impact. This month's small changes with a big difference are:

  • Enhancement: Broken image detection updated to ignore tracking pixels
  • Bug fix: On the assigned issues screen around the number of issues
  • Enhancement: Welcome modal updated to work better on smaller screens
  • Enhancement: Updated card layouts in the inventory area
  • Security update: Updates and patches to prevent XSS attack
  • Enhancement: Last scan modal refresh

Coming up in March

Email reports for sections 📧

Got stakeholders, content owners, or third parties who don’t log in to Insytful but still need insights? Soon you’ll be able to send a live report view by email, so people can stay updated without needing access or chasing PDFs.

This feature should reduce requests for data exports and ensure everyone can see the latest data, not just a snapshot in time.

Policy area 🔍

Policies are custom, rules-based reporting configured within Insytful. An example of a policy could be a report that shows all pages containing "Insytful" (or any term you care about) across a large web estate.

This will be especially useful for teams managing lots of sites and needing consistent checks across them. We’re aiming for the first iteration in March. It's been a while in the making, but good things come to those who wait.

That's a wrap on February 2026 🎉

If there is anything you'd like us to prioritise next, please add it to our open roadmap. We're always listening to client feedback.
