TL;DR [too long; didn't read] 🤯

New to Insytful in April:

  • CSV export is now supported in Insytful!
  • Policies will appear in the app menu following your next site rescan
  • Bug fixes and visual updates

April focused on CSV exports plus releasing and polishing policies.

In the April update 🌼

Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is just around the corner (on May 21st!) and it's a great reminder that accessibility isn't a one-off project, it's something you build into your workflow all year round.

Whether you're preparing reports for stakeholders or tightening up your monitoring, the features we shipped in April should make that a whole lot easier. Especially if you've been asking us for CSV exports… 👀. Here's what is new to Insytful in April:

New CSV export feature

A recurring request from clients is the ability to export data from Insytful to feed into reports and other tracking tools.

We recognise that this feature is especially useful when you have a large web estate with many sites. For example, Insytful community member, The City of York Council, is monitoring 25+ sites with Insytful. Being able to export their site list with key metrics will allow them to do reporting in a much more streamlined manner.

The ability to export data is also coming to other pages, such as search, broken links, misspellings, various page list views and more.

Export as CSV button is now visible in the top rght corner of the sites list.

Coming soon: CSV exports are coming to other reports in Insytful and how it will look is shown below.

Policies are rolled out 🎉

Policies have officially been released. The policies feature will become available in the menu for all Plus and Enterprise subscriptions, following your sites' next rescan.

As seen in the March update, with Policies you can create a number of rules and conditions and see what pages match the given policy in realtime (no more waiting for the next scan to take place!).

We are already working on the next iteration to allow users to see where the matching content within the page is and have a better overview on what rules are being matched within the page renderer.

Visual fixes and updates

We had a number of visual regressions (accidental UI changes caused by code modifications) throughout the app, such as odd spacings, margins and buttons going off centre. But luckily, lead front end developer, Dave, has been keeping track and fixing these with valiant efforts.

We have also introduced some new iconography on the broken list pages allowing you to easily identify between different link types.

Honourable mentions

Each month, we work on quality-of-life fixes that are subtle but have a big impact. This month's small changes in Insytful with a big difference are:

  • Improvement: navigating to an issue page which has been resolved now shows an explanation message rather than a broken page.
  • Improvement: the permissions screen now waits for a response from the server to confirm if a user or group has been added; it also now highlights new additions, fixing some annoying experiences.
  • Improvement: We now ensure only HTTPS sites can be added through the UI to ensure everything is added consistently. If for some reason, you need to add an HTTP site, just raise a helpdesk ticket.
  • Bug fix: a number of fixes on the page settings around editing the URL of a site and saving.
  • Bug fix: on the delete site modal that prevented deleting sites.

That's a wrap on April 2026 🎉

If there is anything you'd like us to prioritise next, please add it to our open roadmap. We're always listening to client feedback.

With accessibility, it pays to be proactive 💡

Making your website accessible doesn’t happen by accident. It requires constant management and testing. Accessibility errors on websites have increased by 10.1% since 2025, so it's even more important to audit your website for free with Insytful and:

  • See what is accessible
  • Identify what isn't accessible
  • Get site SEO, Content Quality and Performance insights too
