We had an action-packed month releasing highly requested features from our users.

In the blog:

To finish the year off, we worked on releasing two new features; sections and our integration with Contensis.

Sections

The biggest and most exciting release for Q4 is our sections feature, in beta. Sections allow users to break their site into separate areas, allowing editors to focus on content that belongs to them.

Whether you split the site up by function, for example, help and docs, or by department, for example, the business and law faculty, it's up to your organisation and what works best for you.

Before we signed off for the Christmas holidays, we finished some key user stories about

  • Creating sections
  • Categorising scan data into sections
  • And allow the main dashboard and accessibility area to switch between sections.

We will start testing these with users in the new year and continue implementing the sections switcher for content quality and inventory areas.

Insytful and Contensis integration

Another highly anticipated feature was the Insytful and Contensis integration. In fact, this feature is our most requested one to date.

From version 16.2 onwards, the integration with the Contensis CMS will allow site owners to check their content with Insytful without leaving the CMS.

The integration aims to audit content before it is published rather than fixing it retrospectively. The first iteration provides accessibility and SEO scores for published and unpublished content.

Editors can easily open the full report of that page in Insytful with a click of a button to ease their workflow. As changes are made to an entry, you can scan the page to see its score and results, ensuring it's ready to go before pressing publish.

In future iterations, the team will update the content workflow to prevent the publication of inaccessible content from the CMS.

Minor updates

Job roles panel

When you log in to the app for the first time, we will ask you to select your job role. This will help provide you with the most relevant information in the future, both inside and outside the app.

That's a wrap on December 2024

There will be more Insytful updates in the new year.
