Insytful monthly roundup: June 2025
TL;DR [too long; didn't read] 🤯
In June we released the following new and improved features:
- Assigning issues to users
- Google Analytics integration
- SSL certificate errors
In June, we released 3 new and improved features to make issue management easier, plus another helpful integration added to the Insytful user interface (UI).
The Summer months can sometimes see a drop in output, but not for us! In addition to new features, we welcomed another government agency onboard, polished some existing features and created integrations for analytics.
We work harder on new features so your team can work smarter 👀.
In the June update
New: Assigning issues to users 👈
Our latest government partner (whom we cannot name due to confidentiality 😞) required a few feature tweaks and enhancements in Insytful. One of these was workflow functionality within the Insytful UI to assign issues to users.
Although many Insytful users use our Jira integration, this member of the community preferred to have something within the app. This feature had been in our backlog for a long time, but had never made it up the priority list.
It took a lot of discussions and prototyping before we came to our ideal first minimum viable product (MVP) solution.
Improving issue management
From the individual page view, users will now be able to assign a failed audit to:
- A user in their organisation
- Or a role, for example, Content editors or Development and IT

We are also introducing a new view, to see all assigned audits on a site.
On this page users can:
- See all issues
- Audits assigned to them
- Or audits assigned to their role.

New: Google Analytics integration 📊
In addition to our first-party analytics feature, that uses server-level tracking to ensure 100% accuracy, we've also introduced an integration with Google Analytics (GA).
The integration with cookie-based tracking solution, Google Analytics, was requested by our newest client. For them, having access to data from GA within Insytful will be beneficial when prioritising work and deciding where to focus their efforts first. Although we are due to release our first-party analytics solution, we acknowledge that some clients have complicated marketing solutions that lock them into using GA.
The first Google Analytics iteration
Currently, the integration allows you to see page views and location information for page visitors within the Insytful UI. As we continue to iterate, more data will be visible in the app.

We are just waiting for the Google Analytics team to test and authorise our integration. Once approved, we will start rolling the feature out in the coming week.
Feature update: SSL Certificate errors 🔖
SSL certificates are tricky and complex. They have many moving parts and can easily be set up incorrectly, causing certificate errors. As we work on improving the accuracy of our broken link checker, we have found more zero status errors.
What does this mean?
A recent example is SSL certificates that have not been appropriately signed. Although they seem to work in some browsers, they do not work in others or might cause complications elsewhere.
Until now, we have not been able to differentiate between these and fully broken certificates. This caused some confusion when Insytful would report a link as broken, but it would work for users when checking directly.
In our latest release, we can now differentiate between broken links and SSL certificate errors. We have introduced a new tooltip to inform users, as shown below.
