Insytful monthly roundup: September 2025
TL;DR [too long; didn't read] 🤯
New to Insytful in September:
- Shareable sections: So everyone lands on the right page, every time.
- A mystery AI feature: Coming soon! All will be revealed at Velocity.
- Last Scanned Modal: View all scanned items, including the last and the next scan dates, at a glance.
- Menu updates: Roles are now permissions, and organisation settings are now billing.
In September, we made sharing insights easier, refined the UI and continued developing powerful features for digital teams. We can't wait to show you what's new at Velocity 👀
In the September update
In September, our product manager, Levi, went on a well-deserved holiday. In his absence, the rest of the Insytful development team worked on making Insytful smarter and more collaborative. Here's what is new this month:
Sharing sections just got easier 🔗
In March, we launched Sections to help teams manage large sites more efficiently.
Since then, more sites have adopted this feature and given valuable feedback to guide the next iteration. Thank you to everyone who's shared their thoughts.
Following the August update, we've made it possible to share specific Section insights with your team. So you can now send a colleague the exact search results page you're viewing in a section, for improved team collaboration and clarity.
How section sharing works
Previously, switching between Sections didn't update the URL. So shared links could sometimes lead colleagues to the wrong page.
Before: An example of how sharing links looked previously:
https://app.insytful.com/site/contensis/content-quality/broken-links?search=guides&page=1
With the new URL structure in place, Insytful adds the "section/section name" into the link, as shown in the example below.
After:
https://app.insytful.com/site/contensis/section/help-and-docs/content-quality/broken-links?search=guides&page=1
What does this update mean for you team?
No matter where you are in Insytful, you can share a page with confidence that your colleague will end up in the right place. It's a small change that will boost accountability and help to streamline troubleshooting efforts for digital teams.
Future update: sharing sections externally
We've heard your requests to share views and reports with people outside of your organisation, such as external companies or contractors. To support this, we have added a new feature request on ProductBoard, to create shareable public links for Insytful pages. If you would find this future iteration useful, please vote and share your feedback.
More insights in the last scanned modal 👈
As mentioned in the previous product update, the last scanned modal has been built and released. The update provides more at-a-glance insights for all users, such as:
- The number of items scanned; including pages and documents, such as PDFs.
- When the last full site scan took place.
- When the next full site scan is due to take place.
This tweak in the UI will make it easier to stay on top of your site's key information at a glance.
A mystery AI feature is coming 👀
We're just one month away from Velocity, Zengenti's annual community event in London.
With Artificial Intelligence (AI) seemingly everywhere, we've been developing a powerful new AI feature that will enhance Insytful's current offering. Using your site's data, Insytful will help users find what they’re looking for faster and more intuitively than ever before.
That is all we can share for now, sorry! But if you're curious, join us at Velocity for an exclusive first look and a chance to try it for yourself.
A fresher, tidier, Insytful UI 🧹
We're always looking for opportunities to make Insytful better for our users. This month, our eagle-eyed designer, Sam, carried out a full design review to refine the interface and improve UX.
You'll notice the subtle improvements, such as smoother spacing, resized text, and polished visuals, to make the app's UI cleaner and clearer.
Honourable mentions
- Menu update:Â In the settings menu, "Roles" is now called "Permissions". This change provides a more accurate label, especially as we begin to introduce "job roles"Â in the issue assignment screen.
- Menu update: In the settings menu, "Organisation settings" is now "Billing". This minor tweak will improve clarity when navigating in the app and is now only visible to Organisation admins.
That's a wrap on September 2025
That's a wrap on September! The Insytful team is already working on more exciting updates, due to be released in Autumn, including the AI-powered feature debuting at Velocity.
As always, if there is anything you'd particularly like to see, please add it to our open roadmap.
Small changes can make a big difference 🤗
Small and simple tweaks can make a huge difference to accessibility and usability. For example, adding alt text and replacing click here links with descriptive link text.
