Insytful monthly roundup: November 2025
TL;DR [too long; didn't read] 🤯
New to Insytful in October and November:
- Cookieless, privacy first analytics: available for beta testing
- Section switcher: now has pagination
- Multitasking update: Insytful can now work independently across tabs
- Performance icon glow up: you'll notice a change in the app
- Roadmap sneak peek: we announced features coming in January 2026!
We spent October and November in a state of excitement, preparing for Velocity. We made strides in Analytics, UI updates and announced the launch of our AI conversational search.
In the October and November update
In October and November, we focused on four key areas in Insytful. We've made more progress with privacy-first analytics, improved section management, made multitasking easier and made foundational changes ahead of the analytics release.
What we didn't get to do was send our monthly newsletter, so we are delighted to deliver a double update for November! Here's what is new:
Cookieless analytics in Insytful
Section switcher update
Insytful now supports multiple tabs
New icon in the performance area

Upcoming features announced at Velocity
Cookieless analytics in Insytful 📊
We've made significant strides in getting analytics ready for release, with the new production infrastructure now in place. Insytful can now show a breakdown of page views, location, traffic source, device, and operating system. All of that can be done without relying on cookies.
Soon, we'll move on to tracking sessions and goals, giving even clearer insights into how your content is performing.
If you'd be interested in trialling analytics in beta ahead of release, please get in touch.
Section switcher update 🔄
Following the release of the section switcher mentioned last month, we've made further updates to improve user experience. The sections feature was introduced to make it easier to manage groups of content across large web estates.
We've now added pagination for sites with more than eight sections. This update makes it quicker to scan, compare and work with your sections without overwhelming the screen.
Insytful now supports multiple tabs 🗂️
Working with multiple browser tabs open is a normal daily occurrence for marketers. So we felt Insytful should also be able to multitask in the same way that digital teams work.
Previously, Insytful would become confused if you had multiple tabs open, viewing different sites. With the latest release, you can confidently work with multiple tabs open at once with different projects.
This small but powerful fix is ideal for those who have a million tabs open and are doing nine things at once. Your workflow stays fast and flexible, and Insytful can keep up.
New icon for the performance area
We've introduced a new icon for the performance area. As we tested the iconography for the new analytics dashboards, we realised they were too similar and could lead to a confusing experience.
This led us to a new icon that looks like a fuel gauge, which we feel represents web performance much better.

Honourable mentions
- UX fix: We updated the copy within the app to improve clarity. One of the most noticeable changes is that the readability scores now indicate a score out of 100, along with the equivalent reading level.
- Bug fix:Â We fixed a logout bug where you weren't redirected properly after logging out.
- Design fix: We fixed pesky padding and spacing issues.
- Bug fix:Â We fixed a bug that broke the billing area.
- Burger fix: We met up as a team in Shrewsbury for an early Christmas burger at Beefy Boys (yum).
Upcoming features announced at Velocity
For anyone that was unable to join us at Velocity, here are the features you can expect to see from us in the first quarter of 2026.
Conversational AI search
Our new conversational AI search feature is designed to replace your current site search. It makes finding answers smarter and more natural. Instead of simply matching keywords, our system understands your question and looks for the most relevant content across trusted sources.
It then creates an easy-to-read answer, complete with a concise summary, key points, next steps, and links to the original sources. The feature is designed for organisations that want a modern, conversational search experience on their sites.
It’s built to be reliable, safe, and flexible, with protections against misleading prompts and the ability to recognise when there isn’t enough information to answer confidently. Future updates will also enable direct integration with CMS platforms, such as Contensis, making it even easier to keep your content searchable and up-to-date.
It is currently being tested on our Contensis site, so go ahead and try our new conversational search. If you are interested in trialling the conversational search feature, please get in touch.
Reports and policies
We’re introducing a powerful new way to search and monitor your content. This feature lets you set up custom searches to quickly find pages that match specific criteria.
For example, you could create policies such as:
- Show me all pages containing the brand term "Zengenti"
- Show all pages that don’t include a certain HTML snippet
- Show all pages that are over a certain size
Reports and policies will support a wide range of metadata attributes, giving you the flexibility to track exactly what matters to your organisation.
You’ll also be able to see which pages meet or fail your defined criteria and visualise changes over time with progress charts. This feature will make it easier than ever to ensure your site remains compliant, consistent, and on brand.
Readability and misspellings update
While Insytful currently uses the industry-standard Flesch score to measure readability, we know these scores don’t always tell the whole story. In some cases, simplifying sentences to improve your score can actually make the content more complicated to understand.
It can also be unclear what content is included in the calculation, as Insytful removes the following before applying the readability formula:
- Navigation
- Promo cards
- Footers
- Ads
- Other non-essential elements
Our spell checker also has its limitations. It’s dictionary-based, which means items like course codes, names, or brand terms can appear as false positives. To address these challenges, we have two major improvements on the way:
- A new readability view that shows exactly what content is being analysed, along with sentence and paragraph specific feedback to help you improve clarity where it matters most.
- An AI-powered spell checker that brings better context awareness. The checker will be able to recognise codes, names, and technical terms, to reduce false positives and make the tool far more useful.
Manage misspellings and broken links
We have even more content quality updates in addition to those mentioned above!
Earlier this year, we introduced the ability to assign failed issues to roles or users for resolution. Initially, this feature was limited to assigning accessibility, SEO, and performance issues only. Soon, we’ll extend this functionality to include broken links and misspellings as well. This feature update will:
- Improve cross-team collaboration
- Speed up issue resolution between technical and non-technical teams
- Help digital teams manage misspellings across owned areas on the website
- Improve content quality management in Insytful
For example, if a marketing team member identifies a broken link in the footer, they can assign it to the development team for resolution.
PDF accessibility changes
Since launching our PDF accessibility feature last year, we’ve been thrilled to see so many of you putting it to use. While there’s plenty more to come to make it even more powerful, one significant change is already underway.
Currently, your site’s accessibility score only reflects web pages, so it’s possible to have a 100% score while still hosting thousands of PDFs that fail WCAG criteria. Soon, this will change.
We’re updating the scoring system to include both web pages and PDFs. We believe this update will help more digital teams win the battle to remove inaccessible PDF content from their website.
Sharing reports
Because Insytful doesn’t charge per user, we encourage organisations to invite all team members to use the tool, rather than exporting reports. However, we understand this isn’t always practical. It can be especially tricky when working with third parties who don’t have organisation accounts.
To make collaboration easier, we’re introducing a new sharing feature that lets you share reports, views, page results, and more with a simple link.
Measuring environmental impact
As more organisations commit to carbon reduction pledges, Insytful will soon help you understand your website’s role in that journey. Coming next year, Insytful will estimate the carbon output for each page view and link this data with your analytics. This will help you identify which popular but heavy pages might be contributing more to your site’s overall carbon footprint than expected.
Track improvements between scans
Single-page rescans are a valuable feature in Insytful, allowing you to confirm that your fixes have been successful. However, for the multitaskers among us, it can be challenging to recall which issues existed before a rescan.
For anyone managing multiple pages simultaneously, this upcoming feature will be invaluable in 2026. Within each page, you’ll be able to track improvements and see:
- Exactly what has changed between scans
- Which issues were resolved
- Which issues were newly introduced
- How your performance metrics have changed
That's a wrap on November 2025
That's a wrap on October and November! The Insytful team is already working on more exciting updates, due to be released in January and the first quarter of 2026.
As always, if there is anything you'd particularly like to see, please add it to our open roadmap.
Small changes can make a big difference 🤗
Small and simple tweaks can make a huge difference to accessibility and usability. For example, adding alt text and replacing click here links with descriptive link text.
