At Velocity 2025, Zengenti's annual community event, Insytful unveiled exciting new features, including cookie-free analytics, enhanced AI search and policies.

TL;DR [too long; didn't read] 🤯

  • Insytful showcased its biggest year yet at Velocity 2025.
  • Over the past year, Insytful's feature set and community have grown rapidly.
  • New features for 2026 include conversational AI search, policies, and environmental impact reporting.

Every year, Zengenti brings its community together for Velocity, a conference that celebrates innovation. The day also celebrates the latest advancements across its products: website quality and governance platform, Insytful, as well as its enterprise DXP, Contensis.

In addition to highlighting new features and product developments, Velocity also creates space for digital teams to connect, share experiences and common challenges together.

This year marked Insytful’s third appearance at Velocity, and it’s been our most exciting yet. We reflected on what our previous year looked like, what we've achieved since then, and what we have planned for 2026. If you missed out on Velocity 2025, keep reading for all the best bits.

Reflecting on the past year

We don't want to blow our own trumpets, but over the past year, we have achieved a great deal. We've released new features, and our community has grown, too.

Here's a recap of new features showcased at Velocity 2024:

  • Inventory overview: Get a content audit of your whole website's pages, files and personal data
  • PDF accessibility: Identify if your PDFs are accessible and machine-readable
  • Metadata previews: See how your content appears in search and on social media
  • Contensis x Insytful integration: Through this integration, Contensis users can view Insytful scan results directly within the CMS, gaining better insights into their published content

Additionally, we showcased how to achieve SEO success with Canterbury Christ Church University, a super user of Insytful. In the past year, Insytful has continued to grow, adding new features and attracting notable new users.

Where Insytful is at now

After Velocity 2024, we continued to onboard new clients, expanding our community across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and North America.

We're pleased to have welcomed several new organisations to the Insytful community this year, including:

The introduction of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) in June also led to an increased demand for accessibility insights and support from Insytful. We're proud to support more organisations in managing the accessibility of their websites across various industries, such as:

  • Healthcare
  • E-commerce
  • Education
  • Government

Looking ahead, we're continuing to build requested features and new functionality that our community values most.

What we've got coming up

Not ones to rest on our laurels, we've got lots more planned for the end of 2025 and early 2026. In no particular order, here's a taster of what is currently in development and due for release soon.

Conversational AI search

We're developing a new conversational AI search feature that enhances the process of finding answers on your website. The AI-powered site search will make interactions with your website smarter and more intuitive than basic search.

Instead of simply matching keywords, our system actually understands your question and looks for the most relevant content across trusted sources. It then creates an easy-to-read answer, complete with a quick summary, key points, next steps, and links to the original sources of the information.

The feature is designed to provide enterprises and smaller organisations with a modern, conversational search experience on their sites. It’s built to be reliable, safe, and flexible with protections against misleading prompts. The conversational, natural language search can also recognise when there isn’t enough information to answer confidently.

Future updates will also enable direct integration with CMS platforms, such as Contensis, making it even easier to keep your content searchable and up to date.

Reports and policies: Create custom reports across your website

Sections were the first piece of the puzzle to make site management easier for large web estates and distributed web teams. Policies are the next piece of the governance puzzle.

Policies will enable users to create custom reports based on rules, such as pages without a cookie banner, thereby gaining greater control over their content. The key difference lies in the granularity that can be achieved through policies.

Digital teams can use policies for content compliance checks, such as:

  • Find and remove offensive language
  • Find all pages published by an author
  • Find all pages that are over a certain size
  • Find any incorrect brand terms
  • Find any pages that have not been visited in a certain time frame

The capabilities of policies make it easier to manage content, whilst also maintaining brand and content consistency across websites. The feature helps to reduce manual review work and automate repetitive checks across large sites. Policies also have the added bonus of providing automated alerts for web governance risks.

There are more examples of the capabilities of policies, shown in the design below.

Readability editorial guidance: paragraph level insights

Part of the core content quality checks within Insytful is scoring content readability. This metric identifies content as either easy or hard to read using the Flesch Reading Ease formula.

Whilst it is helpful to know if content is classified as readable or not, we always felt that this feature needed further refinement. We're pleased to introduce paragraph-level readability insights soon, which will pinpoint issues and improve content clarity.

This feature breaks down page content and provides a readability score for each paragraph. These insights will help identify paragraph-specific problems and provide more straightforward guidance for editors. So no more blanket rewrites are required.

Manage content quality issues: Misspellings and broken links

In June, we launched assigning issues, a powerful workflow feature that simplifies issue management within Insytful. Using this feature, users can turn insights into action and create accountability in their team.

Since the release of issue management, assigning broken links and misspellings has been a highly requested feature for fast resolution of content quality issues. Taking the broken link checker and spelling mistake detection features one step further.

The latest iteration of assigning issues will allow users to assign content quality failures to a person or a role. Making it easier to manage your team, enhance your content management workflow and prioritise what needs fixing first.

Accessibility overview: One view to see all inaccessible pages and PDFs.

Managing inaccessible web content in accordance with WCAG is a core feature of Insytful. The app performs automated accessibility audits, making it easy to identify inaccessible web pages and PDF content. However, web pages and PDFs are not currently available in a single central location.

Soon, it'll be even easier for your team to manage inaccessible web pages, PDFs and documents, all from one view. As shown below, you can compare PDFs and web pages from the overview page. Additionally, Insytful will suggest accessibility fixes that are "easy wins" for editors, allowing you to deliver fixes with instant impact.

It is a minor feature tweak, but one that we know will be invaluable to website managers.

The accessibility overview in Insytful now shows a combined score for pages and PDFs, plus separate tabs for pages and PDFs, all in one view.

We're passionate about creating truly accessible web experiences, so this feature iteration will help take that one step further.

Sharing reports: internally or externally

Working collaboratively often relies on the capabilities of the tools you are using.

Soon, our users will be able to collaborate seamlessly with their team and others, with report sharing. This handy feature will allow others to view any page, regardless of whether they are internal or external to the company. No logging in required.

Choosing whether to share single pages or give full access to Insytful is entirely up to you. With this feature, you can share a page and streamline collaboration with agencies, partners, and third parties on your terms.

Measure environmental impact

Digital sustainability is a growing concern for everyone. But reducing the carbon footprint of your website can be challenging when you're unsure where to begin. This is where the digital sustainability report from Insytful can help.

Insytful will give you the confidence and clarity to meet your organisation's sustainability goals. Within the platform, you'll be able to view the carbon rating of your web pages, PDFs and documents, with practical insights to help you make improvements.

To make prioritising fixes easier, the digital sustainability report will grade each page based on its weight and carbon footprint. This feature will help digital teams identify the pages with the most environmental impact.

Track improvements between scans

Validation is a crucial aspect of working with a tool like Insytful. If you are making changes to your website's content, you want to see an instant reflection of that work within the app.

Currently, after each scan, users are given validation with score updates across the site to indicate the difference they are making. However, it's often not that clear on an individual page view to track content performance.

As shown in the prototype below, it is easier at a glance to spot issues resolved and new issues added since a scan has taken place. Changes are identified with a warning tick for new issues and resolved issues are indicated with a green check mark.
